Yayoi Kusama’s ‘Mirrored Room’

Yayoi Kusama is an 84 year old Japanese artist who created the art installation ‘Infinity Mirrored Room’ for the David Zwirner Gallery. With this “infinity room”, guests experience 45 seconds in a mirror-lined room hung with 75 colored LED bulbs that flicker and pulse. The piece, which is a planetarium contained in a room the size of a large walk-in closet, is a reflection of death and the afterlife. Guests must wear slippers when viewing the exhibit and only about 8-10 people are allowed to see the installation at a time. It’s a three hour wait to see the piece but it looks incredible!
